Charlie Brown on ICE!
The Gaylord Texan is a huge hotel in Grapevine, TX (a suburb of Dallas). Every year they have an ice sculpture exhibit, and this year it featured the TV favorite A Charlie Brown Christmas. I know it’s a little late to do anything Christmas-ey, but we decided to go to it after Christmas during the day when I was off work so it would be less crowded. It was pretty amazing, and I took a bunch of pictures. Click and read on to see them!

Game Review: Back to the Future: The Game, Episode 1 (PC)
I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed being an adult in the 80’s, but let me tell you, being a kid back then was GREAT! We had the best toys (Transformers), cartoons (DuckTales), video games (Pac-Man), and music (well, okay, 80’s music was cheesy but I like it anyway). And with films like Indiana Jones, Empire Strikes Back, Gremlins, and Ghostbusters, we also had some awesome movies, too! Now one of the best 80’s movie series is now a video game that’s actually very good! Get prepared to go to 88 miles per hour with Back to the Future: The Game, a downloadable PC episodic point and click adventure title from TellTale Games!

Game Review: Supermarket Mania (DSiWare)
Around this time of year, many folks find themselves doing some last-minute grocery shopping. Get some extra practice in with Supermarket Mania, a time-management game similar to Diner Dash. Previously on PCs and other portable gaming devices like the PSP, Supermarket Mania is now available for download on DSiWare for the Nintendo DSi. Keep your customers happy with well-stocked shelves and clean aisles as you run your very own grocery store!
Game Review: Neo Geo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting (PSP)
Now all your favorite SNK characters are in a 2-D vertically scrolling shooter you can download to your PSP from the PlayStation Store. While it doesn’t make sense that these stars have somehow learned to fly and fire projectiles, it really doesn’t matter. Choose from several different SNK fighters such as Iroha from Samurai Shodown, Marco from Metal Slug, Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury, and many more.
Unplugged: Holiday Guide 2010
It’s the week before Christmas and you haven’t bought your family a boardgame yet? It’s time to pick up the pace! Boardgames are a great way for families and friends to get together and enjoy some face-to-face social time. One of my fondest memories of Christmas as a youth waking up on Christmas morning knowing that Santa (or his “associates”) had delivered a new boardgame next to the stocking of each child in our family. As the biggest boardgame fan in our group I would spend most of the rest of the day trying to con my siblings and parents into trying out all the new games. Here’s a short list of some of the newer titles I’ve encountered this year that I think are worth a look. If they don’t suit your fancy, I’ve written up a holiday boardgame guide for the past seven years (feel free to check out last year’s guide or jump to the bottom for links to the others.) more…

Game Review: SBK X Superbike World Championship (PS3, 360)
Get ready for realistic motorcycle racing with SBK X Superbike World Championship for Xbox 360 and PS3 (360 version reviewed here). The best way to describe SBK X is it’s like Forza Motorsport with motorcycles. The game uses all the racing licenses and teams, so fans of Superbike Racing should eat this stuff up.
