Okamiden Art Contest!

OKAMIDEN ART CONTEST DEADLINE IS OVER.  THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED.  WINNERS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED BY EMAIL.

In the upcoming DS game Okamiden (sequel to Okami), you play as a wolf cub who is the offspring of the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu. The puppy “Chibiterasu” has the same powers as his mother and can use the ‘celestial brush’ to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and defeat enemies. And it’s even easier to draw with the DS touch screen and stylus! Now, Capcom and GamingWithChildren are celebrating the release of this new DS adventure with an art contest and a chance to win some absolutely adorable puppy prizes! So get out your celestial brushes, pencils, crayons, etc., and click to read how to enter!

Here’s how to enter. Draw a picture of Chibiterasu, the puppy main character of the game, doing something cute. You can draw him any way you want. Pencil sketches, paints, whatever works for you. Then, scan the picture and save it in a JPEG format. Last, attach the picture to an e-mail and send it to me at “pacmanneo at hotmail dot com” with the subject line “Okamiden Art Contest.”

On around Sunday, March 27, I will randomly select nine winners.

One Grand Prize Winner will receive a copy of Okamiden for DS.

Two second prize winners will receive Okamiden puppy ‘pillow pets’ (about a foot long and wide) and two third prize winners will get a Okami puppy plush (about 8 inches high).

Four fourth prize winners will get a Okamiden stylus and screen cleaner. So that’s nine winners total! I will notify the winners through e-mail and you’ll need to give me an address where I can mail your prize (we are not responsible for prizes lost in the mail). Later, I’ll even post pictures of some of my favorite art entries, even if you didn’t win!

This contest is only open to residents of the United States, and kids need to get permission from parents before entering. The contest deadline is Sunday, March 27, so get drawing and have fun and best of luck!

No Responses to “Okamiden Art Contest!”

  1. Personally, I would rather win the Okami puppy plush than the game. I already have the game preordered and the plush is harder to come by.

  2. Welp, like I said earlier, I’m down. @ the moment one of those plushies seems most appealing 🙂
